I was looking for a car eligible for the Bay to Birdwood run, which has a manufacture cut-off date of 1977. I found this car through Wayne Coles in Perth. I don’t know much of previous history apart from sitting for 10 years or more when the owner died. The owner had lived in South Africa so the car spent time there as well. The little reflectors on front grille seem to be a requirement over there. The car also had South African Monroe shocks.
It was a standard 1969 142 B20 with single carbie and 4 speed manual transmission showing 108,000 miles. It has since been upgraded to twin SU’s along with D Cam to match. The gearbox has been changed to a manual overdrive and a Km GT dash fitted. The suspension has also been upgraded and period alloy wheels fitted.
